Co Cork Association- O Donovan Rossa Commemoration - June 28th

RE:  O'Donovan Rossa Centenary Commemorative Program of New York

The County Cork Association, members of the NY GAA, and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians comprise the Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa Centenary Commemorative Program of New York; a transatlantic collaboration with the O'Donovan Rossa Centenary Commemoration Committee in Ireland.  A full program of events taking place in both Ireland and New York is available online at: (Centenary Committee Program attached)

On Saturday, June 27th at Gaelic Park a 7's tournament will take place beginning at 10:30 AM with a social reception to follow. ( ODR GAA tournament flyer attached)

On Sunday, June 28th 2015 at 1:00 PM The County Cork BP&P Association will commemorate the life and legacy of Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa, at The Cork Hall, located at: 33-01 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101 (Cork Press Release attached)

Additionally, on Monday, June 29th a Mass will be held at St. Peter's RC Church on Staten Island at 12 noon, with a wreath laying ceremony to follow at O'Donovan Rossas family grave, sponsored by the AOH.  Relatives of O'Donovan Rossa are expected to participate in the commemorations including two great grandsons who are producing a documentary in order to mark the occasion.
